Get to know Rhonda-Kay!

Rhonda-Kay Gatlin’s heart and soul is firmly planted in the south during her childhood. Rhonda-Kay was born in Tampa, Florida, attended high school in Montgomery, Alabama. She received her Bachelor's of Science from Auburn University, and her Master’s in Literary Arts/Storytelling from Lesley College. Rhonda-Kay moved to Boulder City, Nevada in 1989 where she resides with her husband Chris. Rhonda-Kay’s son, Ryan Osbourn, granddaughter Jade Parker, and grandson Oliver Osbourn live in Alabama where she often visits.

Rhonda-Kay retired after teaching 40 years spending her last 25 years at Andrew J. Mitchell Elementary School in Boulder City, Nevada.

In 2016, Rhonda-Kay received the American Graduate Champion award from Las Vegas Public Broadcasting System (PBS) for her active role in making a difference in students’ lives. She continues to make a difference with children through reading at her Book Signings, Special Events and functions at elementary schools. 

Rhonda-Kay was presented Author of the Year Award in 2020 by Path To Publishing, for her Excellence in Publishing, Outstanding Vision, Dedication, and Contribution to the Literary Industry.
