Below is short bio of one woman that broke into the man’s world of conducting to become a Maestro.

Nadia Boulanger was born in 1887 into a French musical family. Nadia was a talented pianist, organist, and conductor of orchestras throughout America and Europe such as the BBC Symphony, Boston symphony, and Philadelphia orchestras. She was an influential teacher of music composition in the 20th century. Juilliard, the Yehudi Menuhin, and the Royal Academy of Music.
