This book is so cute! I didn’t get the first book, but I got the second edition . When I found out this
story was true, it brought me back to the times I spent with my grandmother in the kitchen baking. A

Grandparents. Illustrations are excellent. I highly recommend this book as a must have for a special
stocking stuffer for Christmas from Grandparents to little girls. The book has inspired me as a

Granny’s Cobbler is a delightful and unique children’s book because it promotes two major themes. First and foremost, is the special relationship between granddaughter Aggie and her Granny. The second theme promotes counting by incorporating the picking of blackberries for baking a cobbler. This is the perfect book to read to my grandchildren. As we’re reading the book together, our own family memories become a discussion point. The kids are also excited to count the blackberries. This is author Rhonda Gatlin’s first book. It’s my hope we’ll see more books to come.

What a wonderful feeling of family I have when I read this charming book about a granddaughter and her grandmother. One can feel the closeness and bond that has developed over time knowing it will only continue to grow. It teaches some of the basic math skills one uses in everyday experiences in a fun and delicious way! I hope the author, Rhonda Gatlin, brings the reader more opportunities in future books to recall our own cherished memories growing up with our grandmothers.
