Top of the Mornin' to ya!

This is the month of March. Where green is worn, leprechauns are hunted and gold is found at the end of rainbows. Do you know that St. Patrick’s Day is March 17th ? Remember to wear your green “Tee Hee Hee”.

Guess what? I have a new pet. Her name is Scarlet and she is a Chihuahua. Her fur is toffee brown, her eyes are the color of chocolate, and she has big feet for a 5-pound puppy. She prances, pawing at my ankles and dances at my feet and follows me all around the house. Scarlet has a cute personality and we bonded right away.

For all those children ages 5 to 8, I have a St. Patrick’s Day challenge for you.

Do you have a pet? Is it a dog, a cat, a tortoise, a lizard or any other kind of pet? I’d love to hear about them and I have a little gold of my own to share with the first 10 children that either write me 3 to 5 sentences about your pet, draw a picture of them, or send a photo.
